Enzo Mari (1932–2020) was one of the great Italian designers and thinkers of the twentieth century, known for honest, useful objects that anyone could understand. His long collaboration with Danese Milano, begun in the 1950s, produced some of the brand's best-known pieces: the Formosa perpetual wall calendar, desk boxes and pencil holders, paper trays, a letter opener and his celebrated wooden animal puzzles.
