The brothers Achille (1918–2002) and Pier Giacomo (1913–1968) Castiglioni were among the most inventive designers of post-war Italy. Working in Milan, often with Flos, they created lamps that are now in museum collections, including Arco, Taccia, Snoopy, Toio and the cocoon-covered Viscontea and Gatto. Their designs mix wit with clear, practical thinking about how light is used. Achille continued the work alone after 1968, and those pieces are included here too.
