Michele De Lucchi is an Italian architect and designer, an early member of the Memphis group, and the co-designer, with Giancarlo Fassina, of the Tolomeo lamp for Artemide. Tolomeo won the Compasso d'Oro in 1989 and its balanced, cable-tensioned arm is still one of the most recognised shapes in lighting. His wider work for Artemide ranges from the Dioscuri glass globes to the Castore suspensions and slim LED rings. Choose a Tolomeo for focused task light at a desk or reading chair, and a Dioscuri or Castore for soft ambient light.
