Giancarlo Fassina (1935–2019) was a Milan architect and designer who joined Artemide in 1970 and co-created the Tolomeo lamp with Michele De Lucchi in 1987. Tolomeo's aluminium arm is balanced by an internal spring and cable, so the head can be set at any angle and stays there, and the design has grown into a full family of sizes. Choose Micro or Mini for a desk or bedside, Classic for a work surface, and Mega for reading light from a floor lamp or wall mount.
