The Pyrus takes its shape from the blossom of the Asian pear tree, its hand-thrown ceramic shade tapering to a gentle conical form that leaves the bulb exposed beneath. Inside, a distressed, worn crackle glaze catches the light and quietly glistens, and because each shade is thrown and glazed by hand, the texture and tone shift from one piece to the next. The effect is a warm, characterful light with a soft downward wash.
Its rustic yet elegant profile works over a dining table, a kitchen island, or an entryway, and looks especially striking hung in a considered row. Available in a range of ceramic and metal finishes to sit comfortably in both handcrafted and more contemporary interiors.
