Pyrus draws its gently conical form from the pyrus pear tree, its hand-thrown ceramic shade shaped with clean lines that nod to the tree's flowering silhouette. Each shade is crafted by hand in the studio, so the exact size, colour, and texture of every piece varies subtly, lending an authentic, artisanal character. Set close to the ceiling and suited to the warm glow of Edison-style bulbs, it casts a soft, inviting light that showcases the organic form of the shade.
This flush ceiling light brings a quiet, sculptural presence to hallways, kitchens, bedrooms, and living spaces where a low-profile fixture with natural character is wanted. It is available in a range of ceramic and metal finishes, from earthy clays to marbled glazes, so it can be tailored to complement both rustic and contemporary rooms.
