MOODMOON White, designed by Sebastian Hepting in 2021, is the warm-white counterpart to the coloured MOODMOON. Bright LED light with high colour rendering shines through a sheet of Japanese paper from behind, and the irregular long fibres of the paper turn that rear projection into a soft, poetic glow. Because the fibres fall differently on every sheet, each shade is unique, and the seams of the square shade are finished by hand in the Ingo Maurer workshop in Munich.
The square form is deliberately reduced so the paper can take centre stage. Installation is simple: the lamp hangs on a single screw in the wall and plugs into an outlet. A supplied remote control dims the light and can run several lamps in sync, then rests on the wall in its magnetic holder.
