Moodmoon Framed, designed by Sebastian Hepting in 2023, brings the Moodmoon family into a picture frame. A sturdy metal frame covered in Japanese paper holds the light source, and gradients of colour glow through the paper as if painted on canvas with luminous paint. Because the frame is closed, the colour stays held within it rather than spilling onto the wall, which let the designer compose bolder, more colourful moods.

Seventeen moods, eight of them created for this version, range from Liquid Gold, like molten flowing gold, to Indigo, a deep, calming blue, all chosen and dimmed in the free Ingo Maurer app. Lean it against the wall, stand it on a sideboard, hang it like a picture, or set it on the optional ash tripod, where it reads like a watercolour on an artist's easel.
