A bare bulb rises on a fine brass rod wrapped in a red wire from a small black base plate, and a dragonfly of anodised aluminium, in red, green or blue, hovers just above it.
The charm comes with real lighting quality. Bzzzz runs on an Ambient LED bulb developed exclusively by and for Ingo Maurer, the contemporary alternative to the incandescent bulb: its light grows warmer the more it is dimmed, from 2700K down to a candle-like 2000K, set with the slider on the cord transformer.
