Birdie's Nest gathers a whole flock of Ingo Maurer's winged bulbs on a single ceiling fixture. Designed in 2005 and re-engineered with LED bulbs in 2017, it sends ten frosted bulbs out on long, curling silver arms, each one carrying a pair of delicate goose-feather wings, so the light seems to have just landed on the ceiling.
The arms can be bent by hand and the wings repositioned, so every Birdie's Nest takes on its own shape, spreading wide or gathering close to the canopy. The transformer is hidden in the canopy, the bulbs are user-replaceable, and the warm 2700K light can be dimmed with a suitable LED dimmer.
