Traditional Wall Sconces

Traditional wall sconces bring classic detail to the wall: candle-style arms, crystal drops, fabric shades, carriage lanterns and ornate metalwork. Use them in pairs beside a fireplace, a mirror or a bed, along a formal hallway, or outside on either side of the front door. Mount indoor sconces about 60 to 66 inches from the floor; beside an entry, choose a lantern roughly one-quarter to one-third the height of the door, and look for a wet rating on exposed walls.
