Traditional Pendant Lights

Traditional pendant lights hang from a chain or rod and bring classic forms to a single point of light: lanterns, crystal bowls, etched glass and ornate metal frames. They light an entry or stairwell, hang over a kitchen island or breakfast table, and add a formal touch to hallways and landings. Over an island, space two or three pendants about 24 to 30 inches apart and hang them 30 to 36 inches above the counter; in a foyer, allow at least 7 feet of clearance below.
