Ludovica and Roberto Palomba are Milan architects and designers whose studio, founded in 1994, works across furniture, bathrooms and lighting for many of Italy's leading brands. Their lamps are sculptural yet soft, with rounded forms and a gentle, diffused glow. For Foscarini they designed Birdie, whose shades perch like birds on a slender frame, and Mura, and for Artemide pieces including Gem and Rituals. Place Birdie as a reading lamp beside an armchair.
