A-emotional light began in Galicia, a region in northwestern Spain known for its natural beauty and artisan traditions. The brand was founded in 1994 by designer Arturo Álvarez, who turned his vision into one of the most recognizable names in decorative lighting. His designs were bold, emotional, and always handmade, crafted with delicate mesh, layered textures, and organic forms that felt alive.

 

Over 25 years, the brand grew from a small workshop to an international presence with pieces sold in over 80 countries. In 2020, Arturo Álvarez stepped away to focus on his artistic work, passing the creative torch to longtime team members Marcos Rioseco and Miguel Martínez. Their goal was to carry forward the legacy of handcrafted lighting while expanding the creative possibilities.
