Reality, designed by Theo Möller in 2023, is delicate, fragile and yet amazingly effective. The egg and its special shape have always held a place at Ingo Maurer, and the heart of this lamp is a real hen's egg into which a fine geometric slit has been cut. Suspended from copper wire, a tiny LED inside gives off a soft light of just nine lumens, and its beauty lies in exactly that restraint.
The idea came from Piero della Francesca's painting Pala Montefeltro, where a single egg holds an entire space despite its small size. Because each shell is a natural product, every lamp is unique in feel and appearance. Reality hangs from a pin wherever you choose and runs from any USB power source.
