Nicol reworks the classic drum shade in two bands: modified oak veneer on top and black perforated foil below, set on a metal frame. When lit, the veneer stays warm and quiet with a fine line of light along the seam, while the perforated band glows and casts a soft dotted pattern across nearby walls.
The open base sends direct light down onto a dining table or bedside, and the cord is adjustable at installation.
