When the tape measure becomes a lamp: Measure Light, designed by Josua Roters in 2023, turns the elasticated sheet metal of a tape measure into a wall light. A strip of LED light runs the full length of the back of its concave blade, and a transparent bracket holds it to the wall, where it draws a bright, graphic band of light that adds depth to the room.
The blade can be gently slid up and down in its bracket, changing the light from a crisp, thin line into an open, indirect glow. This one simple movement lets you switch between two quite different lighting moods, while a push-button switch with dimming sits discreetly behind the logo.
