Magneto is built around a single idea: a spherical rare-earth magnet that holds a slim LED head to a steel rod. Designed by Giulio Iacchetti, the reading version stands on a thin round base, and the head can be slid up or down the stem and swivelled freely, then simply stays where it is put.
There are no knobs, joints or springs, just the magnet, which makes the lamp look almost weightless beside an armchair, bed or desk. A 5W integrated LED gives a focused warm 2700K beam for reading, powered through a plug-in power supply. Available in white or black varnished steel.
