Luang is a locally made table lamp designed by Faro Lab. The collection is inspired by Southeast Asian objects made from papyrus and natural fibers, and how they create volumetric objects of great poetry and formal complexity from flat elements. Its minimalist structure contrasts with the free, organic papyrus shade, which has no frame and is lit in its entirety for a warm, organic light.
Faro Barcelona
Rooted in 1940s Barcelona, Faro Barcelona began with Carlos López selling batteries and desk lamps from a small shop, and grew into a Spanish lighting and ventilation company with more than 75 years of history. It became the first importer of ceiling fans in Spain, and today its in house Faro Lab works alongside designers such as Andreu Carulla and Nahtrang on a catalogue built around what the brand calls democratic design: the belief that good design should never be at odds with accessibility. The collection spans pendant lights, wall sconces, ceiling lights, table, floor and portable lamps, outdoor lighting for gardens and terraces, and ceiling fans with integrated light, many rated for damp and covered outdoor spaces. These are pieces that bring warm, easy light to modern homes, from the living room to the terrace.
