Light Bulb turns the most familiar shape in lighting into a small object to think about. Architect James Wines of SITE took the classic bulb as an archetype and blew it up in opal glass, set on a wide, flared white base. In the white version the whole bulb glows; in the black version the logic is inverted and the bulb stays dark while light spills from the collar below it.
At six inches tall it works as a quiet accent on a nightstand, a shelf or a desk, often shown as a pair. A touch dimmer on the lamp switches it on and steps the warm 2700K LED through its levels, and it arrives in a personalised gift box.
