Koyoo, designed by Axel Schmid for Ingo Maurer in 2018, is a small, portable light object. Held only by a fine wire spring, a bright circle seems to float above a narrow black base. The LED is hidden in the base and lights the circle from below, and on a table the glowing shade sits just below eye level, giving a calm, relaxing light.
It runs cordless on a rechargeable battery, with three brightness levels set at the touch of a button. Koyoo comes with three circles in different materials, and the paper can be swapped for other reflective sheets, decorative leaves or even coloured foil. A perfect little companion for unwinding with a book, or a glass of wine on the balcony on a summer evening.
