Knot is the first rug Swedish interior designer Lotta Agaton has created for New Works, and it carries her eye for texture and quiet, grounded tone. Thick rope spun from recycled PET is handwoven on traditional pit looms in India into a chunky, pebbled surface, then finished with a single loose knot that rests casually at one corner like a signature.
The rope scales with the rug: the 6'7" x 9'10" size is woven from 12 mm rope and the 9'10" x 13'1" from 20 mm, so the texture stays in proportion to the room.
