Kauri is a rounded, sculptural dome, each shade hand-thrown in ceramic and finished with a reactive glaze that cracks and pools into surface patterns drawn from nature, so every piece carries its own web of fine lines and shifting tone. The generous curve of the dome gives it real presence, while the open base directs a warm, focused pool of light straight downward. Because each shade is glazed by hand, variations in pattern, texture and color are part of the character rather than a flaw.
The calm, organic form works beautifully over dining tables, kitchen islands and relaxed living areas where a warm downward glow is welcome. Finishes span a Black Clay cracked glaze, a marbled blend of two clays in soft white and gray, an earthy Blue cracked finish, plus Red Iron and matte white striped options, with brass hardware available in antique brass, antique silver, polished brass, satin brass and matte black.
