The Danish design duo Maria Bruun and Anne Dorthe Vester are the designers of Meter. Their practice includes objects in the cross-section between architecture, design, and fine art. They often focus on abstractions, such as idioms and functional hybrids, and on the aesthetics of materials and form in relation to surrounding spaces – all created with an intense focus on the crafted detail.
Meter comes in two sizes: One Meter and Half Meter. The column-shaped base is made from unpainted aluminium, and the lampshade comprises a wire structure covered by hand-crafted cocoon material. The light source is levelled with the base, creating a soft and warm light effect.
