Folio is a single sheet of hand-blown, acid-etched glass with two corners lifted ever so slightly, like a page caught mid-turn. Designed by Carlo Urbinati and Alessandro Vecchiato in 1990, the ceiling version keeps the same idea as the wall sconce: an almost weightless form, held on two small pins, that hides its hardware completely.
Mounted close to the ceiling, the satin white glass spreads a warm, even light through the room while the curved edges let a soft halo spill onto the surface around it. At just under 4 inches deep it suits hallways, bedrooms and living rooms with standard ceiling heights.
Foscarini

Over the years, the company has been experimenting with new techniques and materials, resulting in many prestigious awards for its innovation and placing the brand on the map as one of the leading brands in modern lighting. Foscarini’s wide range of products include both home décor lamps and special custom designs that perfectly complement hotels, restaurants, and other residential and commercial interiors.Folio is a single sheet of hand-blown, acid-etched glass with two corners lifted ever so slightly, like a page caught mid-turn.
