Filo takes a lamp apart and puts it back together as a piece of decoration. Andrea Anastasio separated the light source, the ornament and the electrical cable, then let each one become part of the composition: a long textile-covered cord is looped and draped over a slender steel stand, threaded through porcelain and blown-glass elements, with a small conical shade hung from the top hook.
The reading version stands just under five feet tall on a thin round base, and its shade casts a focused, warm pool of light beside a chair or sofa. Each named decor pairs its own cable colours with different glass and porcelain pieces, so the lamp reads as much as a sculpture as a light, in a living room, bedroom or study.
