Handcrafted from recycled cardboard, Graypants’ flagship Scraplights provide warm, intimate, and functional lighting for any occasion or space. Tough and elegant, each is precision cut with a laser and assembled by hand using non-toxic adhesive, and all Scraplights are treated with a non-toxic fire retardant.
Just as our flagship line was inspired by available materials, our forms have always been inspired by the natural environment around us.
The latest addition to the Scraplights collection takes forms from pebbles gathered at three beaches near Seattle, the cold and weathered home of our design studio.
Graypants
Founded in Seattle in 2007 by architects Jonathan Junker and Seth Grizzle, Graypants is known for its sustainably sourced and responsibly manufactured products. Using discarded cardboard, newspaper, and wood, their products are made by hand in their studio. Graypants lights glow with texture and warmth, celebrating the natural beauty and variation of the chosen cardboard's colors and corrugation patterns. Created with bold creativity and architectural knowledge, these sustainable lights have quickly become a hit, adding character to homes, offices, and coffee shops.Handcrafted from recycled cardboard, Graypants’ flagship Scraplights provide warm, intimate, and functional lighting for any occasion or space.
