Designed by Neil Poulton for Artemide, the Alambicco Pendant stacks hand-blown glass forms along a single vertical line, recalling the stills and vessels of an old laboratory. Each knurled clear glass section refracts the view of the light source inside, so the column reads as a softly shimmering sculpture rather than a lamp, with polished chrome collars capping the top and bottom.

The Small version carries three glass sections and the Large five, both hung on a slim rigid chrome stem that keeps the column perfectly plumb. An integrated LED runs through the centre and dims on a 0-10V control, making it a striking focal point over a dining table, in a stairwell or in a double-height entry.
